Marcel Holsheimer – Executive, Worldwide Marketing, IBM’s Marketing Software Solutions.
Marcel Holsheimer manages the world-wide marketing operation for IBM's Enterprise Marketing Management (EMM) division, increase awareness and driving demand for IBM's marketing solutions across the globe. He manages marketing operations in North America, Australia, Singapore, Japan, China, India, Eastern-Europe, UK, Benelux, France, Spain, Nordics, Italy and Germany. He is based in Amsterdam.
Marcel joined IBM via the Unica acquisition, where he was managing the European marketing operation. Prior to joining Unica, Holsheimer founded Data Distilleries, one of the pioneers of real time marketing technology. He grew his company to be one of the WW leaders in marketing technology. Data Distilleries was acquired by SPSS in 2003, where Holsheimer served as vice president marketing for SPSS’ application strategy.
Previously, he was a research associate for the Centre for Mathematics and Computer Science in Amsterdam. Holsheimer holds an honors degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente.
In addition, Marcel lectures at Beeckestijn Business School for the post graduate course Customer Experience & Multichannel Management.
