Industrial Engineering and Lawyer who since 1992 is combining academic life with counselling Dutch organisations. His main focus is on supply chain improvement from both purchasing and marketing/CRM perspective. In that respect Sicco is always combining more than one speciality. His PhD thesis is a nice example. He combined finance and marketing and studied the way financial marketing tools can improve the position in the chain.

Sicco holds the chair of B2B marketing and chainmanagement at the Technical University Delft, The Netherlands. He trains students in applying theories of marketing (in chains !) into real life situations. In the period 2001 – 2005 he also hold the E-Business Marketing and Procurement chair at the faculty of Business Administration of the Technical University Eindhoven. The activities are now integrated in the chair in Delft, contributing especially on the ICT dimensions.
He is co-founder of Scenter Management Consultants, based in The Netherlands. This consulting firm helps industrials and B2B firms to create a better position in the supply chain and improve their profitability simultaneously. The consultants of  Scenter help people in organisations to better perform their tasks. To this extent, Scenter operates in the full range from strategy development towards organisational change.

Sicco has written many papers and books and is a frequent presenter at conferences.
