How did Beeckestijn start?
Spring 2004. Hans Molenaar and Egbert-Jan van Bel once again witnessed a failed CRM implementation. The problem was not the technology itself, but the users’ lack of business and customer knowledge. This inspired them to launch the first Post-HBO programme in E-Business & CRM. A programme built entirely from practical experience and designed to help people and organisations move forward immediately.
And so Beeckestijn Business School was born.
Fast forward to today. Egbert-Jan has become a forest ranger, and Bart Meerdink joined as Managing Partner in 2020. We now run more than 80 programmes and, with a team of over 30 people, help thousands of participants and organisations every year. From AI and leadership to marketing, communication, data, and customer experience.
Every day, we create innovative programmes that truly make a difference. We still work from a practical perspective and remain focused on you, your career, and your current or future organisation.

And the name Beeckestijn?
Yes, it’s actually quite a funny story. The first classroom was rented on the Beeckestijn estate in Velsen, and we thought it would make a perfect name for the business school. However, the municipality soon assigned a different purpose to the location. Since then, Landgoed Leusderend in Leusden has been our home base, but the name Beeckestijn has remained. So make sure your navigation settings are correct before you visit ;)
